The West Covina Unified School District's Special Education Department is hosting its sixth Parent University Workshop on April 16 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. This workshop is designed to inform parents what their students can expect as they transition between schools in West Covina, all the way up to the adult transition program.

Parents will learn how to make informative decisions at their student’s transition IEP meeting, whether their child is transitioning from preschool to elementary school, or middle school to high school. Parents will walk away with an understanding of the transition process and will receive helpful tips directly from special education staff in the district.

The workshop will be held at the the Foster Youth Center, located on the Willowood Campus at 2021 W. Alwood St., Room 301 in the city of West Covina. Spanish translation and childcare will be provided.
